Metres to Feet
A metre is about 3.28084 feet. Multiplying by three and adding ten per cent gets close enough for a rough sense of a room.
The answer is decimal feet, which is not how anyone speaks: 1.83 metres is 6.004 feet, so a person that tall is "six foot", and 1.75 metres is 5.74 feet — five foot nine, not five foot seven. Multiply the part after the decimal point by twelve to get the inches.
