Feet to Metres
A foot is 0.3048 metres exactly. Dividing by three and a bit is the mental version, and it is good to about 2%.
Room dimensions, ceiling heights and property listings are where this usually comes from. Note that a measurement written as 5'10" is five feet and ten INCHES, not 5.10 feet — convert the inches separately or use the inches page, because entering 5.10 here gives an answer that is wrong by about two centimetres.
