Kilometres to Miles
A kilometre is about 0.621371 miles. The useful shortcut is that the ratio is close to the golden ratio, so consecutive Fibonacci numbers convert: 5km is about 3 miles, 8km about 5, 13km about 8. It is accurate to well under one per cent and needs no arithmetic at all.
